Rick Ivey
- Guitar, Voice, Harmonica, and
Mandolin.
Rick Ivey is
the founder of Alleluia Amen and has been blessed with many musical abilities
from a young age. Rick grew up in the
oldest and smallest town in the old west down by the Rio Grande. As a child Rick understood only two definite
things about life:
1. That rooster’s don’t lay eggs, especially on
vertical walls.
2. That Jesus Christ was His Lord and Savior.
Shortly
after having an encounter of the 3rd kind, Rick began to dwell on his own life
and how it was affecting his musical abilities.
Unfastened by his shame of being out casted in a High School of only 7
senior graduates, Rick embarked on a quest to find nothing. Rick’s personal quest was not out of
“machismo” or “self-vanity”, his quest was to grow his idealistic perfection of
non-perfection in a world of perfection. Rick’s musical philosophy states that a “man,
must look deep into his own heart and find the irregular from the regular and
then avoid both of them, ‘cause all they will do is tie you down to being
regular and irregular”. Rick’s
philosophy is very prominent in his musical creation. Where one may think they are listening to a
musical piece in a common time 4/4 phrasing, Rick will actually be in a 6/4
sequence and intertwine his entire structure with other time signature’s from
one note to the next.

Benigno “Benny” Ybarra – Lead Guitar,
Vocals, and Bass guitar.
Benny
is the youngest member of Alleluia Amen. As a child Benny dreamt of a
life in hardcore death music and ritualistic practices of daily head
banging. Life has never been easy for the youngest member of Alleluia
Amen; he has had to prove his musical talent with every shredding note to come
from his nimble right-handed guitar. Benny’s talent at the electric
guitar is far superior to any of the other members of Alleluia Amen.
Benny is so talented that he chooses to play a right-handed guitar even though
he is actually a left-handed individual. His immediate family and friends
cocooned Benny while growing up with a big bundle of love. The love for
Christ is what Benny eats, breathes, and sweats now. The future is wide
open for this young talented Christian, his only weakness is that he can’t stop
buying lil' puppies and taco's.

Armando
“Mando” Lopez – Percussion, Vocals.
Mando was
born with a drumbeat in his heart. Mando
was a delicate child surrounded in a world full of Rhythmic harmonies that can
calm the soul of a human heart. Mando
has lived most of his adult life in a town, so small that the townspeople
decided to build a huge lake nearby so people could place it on a map. The town in which Mando lives in is greatly
known for their little sparks of diamonds in the rough. Mando is clearly not antagonized by such
words like: “get a job you bum”, or “are you going to eat that squirrel?” The everyday norm is what makes Mando the
percussionist that he is. Upon receiving
news that his town was suffering from a huge economic downfall, Mando stood up
and polished his shiny hat and single handedly re-constructed the economy of
his town.

O-Ben - Guitar, Bass, Vocal,
Cajon, Jews-Harp. Omar could be considered the brain-child of
studio and sound know how. He possesses the rare ability to spend four
hours figuring out proper centimeter placements of a microphone to a small
amplifier speaker. Omar was raised very close to a foreign
country, in a small, benevolent town, sporting a drive-through beer store and a
church. He chose to spend his time at the church. He therefore was
greatly influenced, at a young age, to avoid meaningful relationships, except
with God.
When Omar met AlleluiaAmen, he was outcast
from the scholastics of society, where he was prior well studied, and became a
man. His favorite hobbies, aside from reading outdated comics, are
screaming randomly the word “snakes” at the ground, and singing loudly whenever
he is not in the shower, which is unfortunately, quite often. Omar boasts a strong desire to wish to want
to someday perhaps aspire to maybe yearn for something. “To achieve
nothing” is often uttered from his list of acronyms.
